Which Protein Powder?
The most important thing to remember is that whichever protein powder you choose should fit your macros. It's not as important as people make it out to be—what matters is consistency and hitting your protein targets.
That said, I prefer brands that prioritize quality and transparency. My top recommendations are Optimum Nutrition and Dymatize Iso 100. I personally prefer Dymatize because my stomach handles the isolated protein better than it does the concentrate.
These brands have been consistent in their product labeling. Some other brands have been known to add filler ingredients and just pay the fine when caught in testing instead of providing quality products. I value transparency and purity.
My Favorite Flavors
Here are some of my go-to flavors that I consistently repurchase:
- Fruity Pebbles: Available on Amazon
- Fudge Brownie: Available on Amazon
- Gourmet Vanilla: Available on Amazon - My daily go-to for oatmeal and recipes
My family has also tried cocoa pebbles, peanut butter cup, cinnamon cereal, and strawberry flavors. All of these are excellent depending on what you're having it in.
How I Use It
I typically mix my powder with almond milk to keep calories down. I have some in my oatmeal every morning and I often make a protein coffee in the afternoon. It's an easy way to hit my daily protein target without overdoing calories.

Pre-Made Shake Options
We have those Fruit Pebbles pre-made shakes available at our gym, which are often my post-workout snack. They're very convenient and hit those macros just right.
On-the-Go Options
When I'm on the go and need a quick protein boost, I grab either a Fairlife Core Power or Fairlife Elite Core Power depending on my protein needs. These ready-to-drink shakes are perfect for when you can't mix your own.
Get that protein! It's so important for SO many reasons. Find a powder you enjoy and make it part of your daily routine.
